It also includes a bunch of formatting, like bold, headings, font and size, font color, background color on text, bullet points (use '* ' at the beginning of a section for it to automatically start the list), etc.
for it to autocomplete to a hyperlink, or if you are using other fancy stuff like tables (sort of like a database), '/' (it will autocomplete to a bunch of commands written in readable form, like /image to link an image from local storage or url, /table to put an inline table or link to a view over a DB). #Onenote add ins for d&d software#
There is also a lot of freware and/or very cheap software out there that a lot of people linked, great information for any newcomer in D&D that stumbles uppon this thread I'm glad to see there are people who feel the same way and a lot of people still play with just the basic stuff. Not sure if a rant like this is allowed but it seems to no be agaisnt the rules, if it is pls delete it, modsĮdit: I got over 150 messages and a few DMs, it is just way too much to read. I completely understand where this comes from, as a software developer myself, those projects are made by fans of D&D and devs like any of us, and they are extremely profitable, making literally tens of thousands of dollars, they are amazing tools and usually very well made, and made by great people!īut am I the only one who feels extremely pressured by the community as a whole to use those tools? I know it is just 5$ a month and to some it is just irrational to compain about it but it just adds up to literally 1/4 of a years minimum wage on a country like where I come from I know there are good single purchase apps, like Foundry and ReRoll that I absolutely adore, but it is still a huge paywall for someone who doesn't live in Europe or the US
#Onenote add ins for d&d full#
It feels like I need to have a D&D Beyond master Sub, a Roll20 full sub, + literally thousands of dollars in the official books in all of the damn platforms + something to track lore like World Anvil or Obsidian Portal + something to make maps like Inkarnate + something to make characters like Heroforge just to offer a decent experience for my players.
